North American Strongman Championship 2022 Videos
The North American Strongman Championship took place over the weekend, 10/13-10/15, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Ben Eisenmenger, Be Strong’s owner and head coach, competed in the men’s 105kg division (231lbs). The top three finishers of the weekend would receive their pro cards and the top 20% of finishers would receive an invite to the Arnold Sports Festival Strongman competition.
The first three events took place on Friday and the remaining events on Saturday. Check out the events below.
Axle Press
Last Man Standing style. Press the weight until you are out. Top weight earns the most points. Attempts were 242, 264, 286, 297, 311. (bottom right screen)

Farmer’s Carry
40ft down and back with 260lbs per hand then 310lbs per hand for fastest time.

Sandbag and Sled Drag Medley
40ft carry with 283lb sandbag and place on the sled, run back for 309lb sandbag and carry 40ft and place on the sled, then drag the sled 40ft for the fastest time. (furthest lane from the camera)
1st place with :29.84
Deadlift Medley
580lbs Farmer’s deadlift, 700lbs Farmer’s Deadlift, 665lbs 13” Axle deadlift for max reps. (bottom right)
2nd place with 9 total reps
Sandbag Over Shoulder
Throw the sandbag over shoulder in ascending order of weight. Weights were 242, 267, 283, 309, 330 (bottom left)
3 bags in :25 for 11th place
Arm Over Arm Sled Pull
80ft rope toe with 980lbs sled for fastest time (second from the left)
Ben earned his pro card as a middleweight strongman and has been invited to compete at the Arnold Amateur Strongman Classic in March 2023. He is now eligible to compete in pro competitions and can no longer compete as an amateur in the middleweight division.
